Can anyone tell me if I am right?

 

Bense= If I

Sense= If you

 

?

Bense and sense are short versions of (ben ise) and (sen ise) respectively.

 

Bense= But then, I .........

Sense= But then, you .......

 

EXAMPLE :

 

Ayse wanted to go to the movies, but then I preferred to go to a theater.

Ayse sinemaya gitmek istedi, bense tiyatroya gitmeyi tercih ettim.

 Bense = ben ise = when it comes to me, but me on the other hand etc.


Sen dışarıda eğleniyorsun, bense ders çalışıyorum.

You are having fun outside, me on the other hand, I am studying.


Ben alışveriş yapıyorum, sense tembellik yapıyorsun.
I am doing the groceries, you on the other hand, are being lazy.
