If i wanted to say carrot in Turkish i would say havuç. However if i wanted to make it plural and say carrots do i still need to apply the same in Turkish and say havuçlar. Also can this be used in all food and drink as i hear the Turks just use the singular form of a word normaly.

2 havuç (not havuçlar)

3 havuç (not havuçlar)

etc...

Bir kaç havuç

Bir çok havuç

 ..ama patatesten havuçlar  here

...coz no number/amount before it...

I always wondered how "ne" differs from "çok" in this context, words that follow it can take plural suffix.

Example: "Ne kadınlar sevdim, zaten yoktular". (Note also the use yoktular instead of yoklardı.)

I don´t know if it would be grammatically correct if it was "Çok kadınlar sevdim", feels somewhat weird but not totally incorrect, kinda like exaggeration,

I don´t know. Maybe our language is being influenced by English and that´s why it doesn´t sound wrong anymore :S

There are many exceptions. Below are the most well-known ones:

dört büyükler, kırk haramiler, üç silahşörler, yedi cüceler...

We also use -lar, -ler  when we don´t know the exact number. When we use it that way, it doesn´t follow the rule:

on yaşlarında, 170 boylarında, beş derecelerde, etc.

When the word suffixed with -lar,-ler is the predicate of the sentence , it often goes against the rule:

Hücrede şimdi altı kişiler.

Şoför dahil beş kişiler.

Üç değil dört kişiler.

Üç kız, üç erkektiler.

Yedi kadındılar.
