Is this the right way to say it?  And is it the same way to say do I know you?

Thanks Smile

tanışmıyoruz değil mi? ---> We dont know eachother, do we?

 Thanks armegon

tanışmak and tanımak confuse me, which one do I use for which situation, like for example when I say ´pleased to meet you´ do I use tanışmak?  And if Im introducing people, like for eg: ´do you know mrX´? What do I use?  And if i want to say ´have we met´, or ´do we know each other´?  Again how do I say it?

sorry for all the questions, I´m just feelin very confused today!

let me try to explain with my weak Turkish grammar, a Turkish teacher can correct .

Turkish sentence should be like "birbirimizi tanımıyoruz değil mi?" or "tanışmıyoruz değil mi?"

both can be translated as "we dont know eachother, do we?". "tanımıyoruz değil mi?" means "we dont know him/her/them, do we?".

tanışmak---to meet, to know eachother, is like "two person who do not know eachother, now begin to be acquainted with eacohter"

tanımak---to know, to recognize, is like" to know someone before"

pleased to meet you---tanıştığımıza memnun oldum or sizi tanıdığıma sevindim.

Do you know MrX?---Mrx´i tanıyor musun?

Have we met?---(önceden) tanıştık mı, buluştuk mu, görüştük mü?

Do we know eachother---Birbirimizi tanıyor muyuz?

I hope these helps
