Is it correct to just say : Istanbulda nisan ??? Or did I jump a lot of shorrtways here?? Thanks. (even though I am wrong, still happy. I AM GOING TO ISTANBUL). Thanks!

Nisan´da İstanbul´da is better I guess.

In Istanbul on April

April in İstanbul - İstanbul´da Nisan

It means that it is April in Istanbul.

This reminds me of the song Istanbul´da Sonbahar by Teoman here, so I guess İstanbul´da Nisan should also be correct...  Idk, Faruk´s the expert here

İstanbul´da Nisan is not wrong, but the meaning which wanted to be given is different. That is  why.
