Last homework to be corrected, thanks

In this exercise you will make 10 sentences in past tense with the words given below. Please follow the rules you´ve learned before and try to make sentences with all demonstrative pronouns.

ev, araba, vazo, halı, masa, yol, bahçe, sopa, ağaç, kitap, kapı, tren

Example:

Bu bir sopaydı.

Answer:

Bu bir evdi.

Şu bir arabaydı.

Bu bir şeffaf vazoydu.

Şunlar kırmızı halıydılar.

Bunlar masaydılar.

O yoldu.

Şu bahçeydi.

Şunlar ağaçtılar.

Bunlar kitaptılar.

O trendi.

Nice, but can you make sentences with more then two words and without pointing things like bunlkar, şunlar, onlar ? or you are not there yet ?

i dont think im there yet, i probably could make them longer but i was just going by the example sentence in the question....thanks for the help

So you are right.

 he himself is not there yet either!  His longest turkish sentence consist of 2 words!

When you have a plural  non-human subject , the verb has to be singular ( called "özne yüklem uyumu")

When it is people, verb can be plural or singular

e.g.

Kuşlar ötüyor. (NOT kuşlar ötüyorlar) / Birds are singing.

but

Ayşe´yle Deniz şarkı söylüyorlar. OR Ayşe´yle Deniz şarkı söylüyor. / Ayşe and Deniz are singing.

Both are correct.

By the way,

"Şunlar kırmızı halıydı" etc sounds weird since it means "those were red carpets"; so they were red carpets and what are they now  ?

..bez?

Maybe it was halı before but now is bez
