I´m looking for a vocabulary book that´s not like a normal dictionary but more like those books that you use in school when you learn a foreign language.

like at first there are short texts with the vocabulary of it next to it. then there are little explanations and so on if there´s something that´s a bit tricky. then comes the next text with again its vocabulary.

anyone know what I´m looking for?

I searched a lot but didn´t find anything "good". could be english - turkish or german - turkish as well.

Teach Yourself Turkish is an excellent book for learning. Each chapter has small conversations with vocabulary explanations, and there is a detailed index at the back covering language points including common suffixes.

In my opinion this is still one of the best books for beginner to intermediate level.
