Merhaba!

I´m new in this website and hope it will help me to learn some Turkish. I´ll be working in Turkey next summer as a rep and would love to be able to have a basic knowledge of Turkish before getting there. It seems to be a very hard language but I am very determined to learn it!

İyi şans (I hope it is the right way to say good luck) to you all!!!

Good luck for your learning as well.

By the way, the Turks normally say iyi şanslar for good luck. (This is literally good lucks) Similarly ´good night´, said as a farewell, is iyi geceler (also using the ler/lar plural suffix)

There are also many links to other web-sites here, and besides the very useful dictionary on this site, I also find tureng.com useful.

You lucky thing going to work in Turkey, good luck with it {#emotions_dlg.bigsmile} well done for trying to learn some of the language before you go, I´m sure you´ll pick up loads when you are out there too. Do you know where abouts you´re working yet or don´t they tell you until nearer the time? Can I ask what company you will be working for?
