Bunca zaman bana anlatmaya
çalıştığını,kendimi
bulduğumda anladım

 

I understood what you had tried to tell me all this time when i found myself

 

 

Herkesin mutlu olmak için başka bir yolu
varmış,

 

There has been another way of everybody to be happy. 

 

Kendi yolumu çizdiğimde anladım

 

I understood it when i drew it. 

 

Bir tek yaşanarak öğrenilirmiş hayat,
okuyarak,dinleyerek değil

 

Life can have been learned only by living not by reading, not by listening.

 

Bildiklerini bana neden
anlatmadığını, anladım

 

I understood why you hadn´t told me what you had known

 

Yüreğinde aşk olmadan geçen hergün
kayıpmış,

 

Eveyday passing without love in your heart has been a lost.

 

Aşk peşinden neden yalınayak
koştuğunu anladım

 

I understood why you had been running after love barefoot.

 

Acı doruğa ulaştığında
gözyaşı gelmezmiş gözlerden,
Neden hiç ağlamadığını
anladım

 

When the pain reachs to top, no tear has come from eyes. I understood why you hadn´t ever cried.

 

Ağlayanı güldürebilmek,ağlayanla
ağlamaktan daha değerliymiş

 

To make one who cries laugh has been more valuable than crying with one who cries. 

 

Gözyaşımı kahkaya çevirdiğinde
anladım

 

I understood it when you transformed my tears into laughter. 

 

Bir insanı herhangi biri kırabilir, ama bir
tek en çok sevdiği acıtabilirmiş,

 

Anyone can have broken any person but only the one who he/she loves can have hurted him/her

 

Çok acıttığında anladım

 

I understood when you hurted me so much

 

Fakat,hakedermiş sevilen onun için dökülen her
damla gözyaşını,
Gözyaşlarıyla birlikte sevinçler
terkettiğinde anladım

 

But the beloved has been worth every drop of tear which had been shed for her/him. I understood it when the joys left with tears 

 

Yalan söylememek değil, gerçeği
gizlememekmiş marifet,

Yüreğini elime koyduğunda anladım..

Skill hasn´t been to not to tell lie but to not to hide the truth. I understood when you put your hand into my hand.

´´Sana ihtiyacım var, gel ! ´´
diyebilmekmiş güçlü olmak,

Sana ´´git´´ dediğimde anladım..

To be able to say "I need you, come!" has been being strong. I understood when i said you "go"

Biri sana ´´git´´ dediğinde, ´´kalmak istiyorum´´
diyebilmekmiş sevmek,

To be able to say "i want to stay" when someone say you "go" has been loving.

Git dediklerinde gittiğimde anladım..
Sana sevgim şımarık bir
çocukmuş,her düştüğünde zırıl
zırıl ağlayan,
Büyüyüp bana sımsıkı
sarıldığında anladım..

I understood it when they said go. My love for you has been a spoilt child who wept a flood of tears everytime when he fell. I understood when you hug me very tight.

 
Özür dilemek değil, ´´affet beni´´ diye
haykırmak istemekmiş pişman olmak,

Gerçekten pişman olduğumda anladım..

 

To regret hasn´t been to apolagize but to want to shout as "forgive me". I understood when I really regretted.

 

Ve gurur, kaybedenlerin,acizlerin maskesiymiş,

Sevgi dolu yüreklerin gururu olmazmış,

Yüreğimde sevgi bulduğumda anladım..

And pride has been a mask of losers and weaks. The hearts filled with love can´t have pride. I understood it when i found love in my heart.

Ölürcesine isteyen,beklemez,sadece umut edermiş
bir gün affedilmeyi,

Beni afetmeni ölürcesine istediğimde
anladım..

One who wants crazily hasn´t waited, he/she has only hoped to be forgiven one day. I understood it when i wanted you to forgive me crazily.

Sevgi emekmiş,

Emek ise vazgeçmeyecek kadar, ama özgür bırakacak
kadar sevmekmiş

 

Love has been labor. And labor has been to love not enough to give up but enough to let him/her be free.

I realized only when I found myself what You tried to explain this all to me for a long time

Everyone becomes happy in different ways

I realized when I had found drawn  my way

Only by living life we learn, not through or listening to others

 

I understand why you did not explain what you knew

I understood when why I you ran barefoot after love

When in the height of pain no tears drop

There is more value in knowing how to make one who cries laugh than to cry with them

I realized this when you turned my tears into laughter

Anybody can know how to break someone but only the person you love can hurt you and I realized it when you hurt me too much

But when one you love it is worth every teardrop

When you the happiness left with the tears I understood that both the happiness and the tears
