Geçen tatilim yazın iki bin dokuz´daydı. Ben ve arkadaşım Monique güzel plajlar için gemi geziside karayibe gitmemize karar verdik.
Orada sadece yedi gün kaldık ama beraber çok hoşlandik.
Hava çok güzeldi, sabahlarda çok sıcak ama akşamlarda hava soğuktu. Çok dostçaydı tanıştığımız insanlar.
Sabahlarda plaja gittik, çok iyi yüzememe rağmen, tüplü sualtı dalışına gittim.
Akşamlarda dans etmemize gidip dışarıda film seyredik.
Her yaz oraya geri dönecektim. Çok yerler görmem var.

my the last holiday was, in 2009´s summer. i and my friend monique decided to go to karaip for nice beaches by ship travel.
we only staid 7 days there but we really liked it so much.
weather was nice, mornings were very warm but it was very cold when its evening there. the people was very friendly.
in the mornings we went to beaches, i went to squba diving even if i cant swim so good.
in evenings , after dance we watched movies outside.
i will go back there every summer. There r lots places where i wanna see more.

There are a few mistakes in the above translation. This is what you´re aiming for:
My last vacation was in 2009. Me and my friend Monique went to the Caribbean for the beautiful beaches. Although we only stayed for seven days, we enjoyed it throughly. The weaather was nice; sunny during the day but a bit cold in the evening. The people we met were very friendly.
During the daytime we went to the beaches; eventhough I cant swim well we dived.
Akşamlarda dans etmemize gidip dışarıda film seyredik.
( I´m not sure I understand what you mean here)
I want to go back there every summer. There is still a lot I have to see

Geçen tatilim yazın ikibindokuzdaydı. Ben ve arkadaşım Monique güzel plajlar için gemi gezisiyle Karayiplere gitmeye (better) karar verdik.
Orada sadece yedi gün kaldık ama beraber ikimiz de (both of us) oradan çok hoşlandik.
Hava çok güzeldi, sabahları çok sıcaktı ama akşamları hava soğuktu. Tanıştığımız insanlar çok dostcanlısıydı tanıştığımız insanlar.
Sabahları plaja gittik, çok iyi yüzememe rağmen, tüplü sualtı dalışına gittim.
Akşamları dans etmemize rağmen gidip dışarıda film seyrettik.
Her yaz oraya geri döneceğim. Daha çok yerler görmem lazım.

What does (dans) etmemize mean? As a learner, I don´t understand this particular conjugation. Thanks to anyone who can break it down for me

dans etmek means ´to dance´ but I´m not sure about the ending there.

dans et-me-miz-e To make this sense you should use it with "rağmen" or "karşın"(both of them means inspite of, in despite of)
dans etmemize rağmen: in despite of us dancing

Thanks gokuyum, it´s a bit more understandable now. Would you or anyone else here know where I could find a lesson on this please? I´ve tried searching here, but I´m not too sure which keyword to be searching under. Thanks

dans et = dance
dans etme = dancing
dans etmemiz = us dancing
dans etmemize = at/to us dancing
(as in the following examples)
Orada oturdu ve dans etmemize baktı = He sat there and looked at us dancing
Eğer dans etmemize bir itirazı olsaydı ... = if he had any objection to us dancing ...
