Oh Thank You So Much Now....Is ´Selam´ slang for hello?  and ´Güle Güle´ slang for goodbye?

How did you make the letters different? What is the code you type in for those letters?

I know ´ü´ is 0252. What else? And why are you learning/learnt türkce for?

I don´t know about slang... Sorry.

But according to me, you say Görüşürüz if you are the one that is going to leave, and the one who will stay will say Güle Güle to you... I think {#emotions_dlg.unsure}.

I have turkish keyboard, so I can´t help you with codes, sorry.

And my motivations for learning Turkish are quite similar to yours... Good luck Smile

Selam is just another word for ´hello´ - more like ´hi´. ´Güle güle´ is a way of saying goodbye to a person leaving if you are the person staying behind.  You can look up all these words on the site dictionary.  If you want to learn some Turkish slang then just google ´turkish slang´ but I wouldn´t try using most of it too often - especially if you´re a woman!

"Görüşürüz" has the same meaning as "see you" so either one or both can say that when aparting. If you are the one leaving you can also say "Hoşçakal" and the person who stays says "güle güle".

when writing in tc you can usually find the turkish letters from below where you aren writing.. acception is I think the chat room. Also atleast in pc´s you can change your keyboard language to turkish I don´t know about codes but this is how I have found those letters

Maybe natives can help you with slang, I´m just a learner and I don´t know that much slang

Salam= Peace

to change your heyboard to turkish option go to Start select my computer select control panel

select regional language icon or folder and set Turkish as a second language. from then on you will be able to change your keyboard from your toolbar at the lower right side of your computer screen. Hope this helps!

Popular slangs:

Hello:

Selam/Slm (the most prefered one)/Merhabalar/Selamlar

How are you?:

Naber ? /nbr?/nabersin?/(it is said at the beginning of your conversation)meaning is kinda whats up?

Napıyorsun/n´yapıyorsun?/napıyon?/napı10? (meaning literally ´´what are you doing ?´´ but it means ´´What have you been up to?´´

an example :

-nbr?

-iyi senden?

-benden de iyi

or

-Nabersin

-iyilik ne olsun,senden?

-Benden de iyilik

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Goodbye:

Görüşürüz/kendine iyi bak/kib/Hoşçakal/Hadi bay/Güle güle/Kal sağlıcakla (i can remember that much)

But if i want to sing off messenger ,i generally use

Ben kaçar

Excellent:

Super ya /manyak bir şey/harika/mükemmel

Busy:

We say ´´meşgül´´ But if you have something to do you can say ´´işi var ´´it means meşgül as well.

Slang is a kinda different language.I do think that it is enough to learn that much for now.
