Can someone please translate this and tell me what it means in english

Also in what tone of voice do you think they are saying it by? In a mocking tone? Joking? Normal?

Please reply x

I think there might be more than one meaning but my attempt is:

That was strange, where did it come from? (oops! I mısread ´yabancıda´ for ´yabancidi´ which I took to mean ´was strange - no excuse but maybe if the ´da´ had been written separately I would have realised!)

I suppose it depends on what the comment was an answer to.

Bu yabancı da nereden çıktı?

Where did this foreigner(or, stranger) come from?

I think it is in a normal tone. However, it seems it was said in a surprised tone too.
