If the course books are published by I.U.Press, then you don´t have to worry about the price, you would find the prices cheaper than you could expect. If not and if you receive no offer by anyone here, then you might consider to visit secondhand bookshops in Istanbul one day and get them at reasonable prices.

P.S. Hope someone from I.U. would confirm if the books are published by I.U.Press.

Thanks for replying. I´m afraid the price is not very cheap so the woman who attended me pretended that didn´t remember about the price, so... i asked if she knew more or less how much it was going to be and she said around 50lira.

Anyway let´s see what people says about the I.U. Press, i´ll be waiting.

Well, if the price of round YTL 50.- is

* for only one single book and the book is published by I.U., then I would call the I.U. ´trader´ and would definetely recommend you to stay as far from it as possible!

* for two (or more) books and they are published by the I.U., then they must be ´fair trader´ and I woul still recommend you to stay away!

* for one book or more published by a privately held press, then either you would have to face it or visit second-hand bookshops, like I suggested before.

By the way, I don´t know exactly but just guessed I.U. must have its own press, in which case the book prices are supposed to be more or less their costs.

Sadly I don´t which users at TC could be from the I.U. The only one I know is (or at least, once upon a time, was) SuiGeneris . You may try to contact him- but definetely without my reference!  I believe he could be of help to you if he has time and is in good mood. (He is normally a good friend.)
