I think the meaning is (Is there house?)

If you add the personal ending to a noun+var it gives the meaning ´you have a......´

If you then add ´mı´ it gives the meaning ´do you have a.......?´

so ev+in + var =you have a house

evin var mı ? =do you have a house?

(without the personal ending i.e ev var mı ? = is there a house?

Agree. Nice clear explanation of a construction that is very different between English and Turkish. But the original sentence started "Orada" which means "there, or in that place"

So

orada evin var mi?

Lit:

Is there a your house in that place?

Free:

Do you have a house there
