seni ismin/iyi misin

can someone confirm i am using these phrases correctly and the spelling is correct please

 

iyi misin? - are you ok? is this the same meaning as how are you?

 

seni ismin? - how are you?

I´m a learner, but I think it is incorrect. It looks like misspelt "senin ismin" - "your name".

thanks tomac. i am not sure where i saw this phrase but i thought it meant how are you? i have used it twice already! i will stick to nasilsun and iyi misin

Hi, in case you weren´t aware nasılsın is the correct spelling.

But if you say it quickly like you have spelt it, everyone will understand Smile

As far as I know, "nasılsun" is used in Black Sea region (for "nasılsın") - maybe JohnK is on holiday there ?
