Faruk Nafiz Çamlibel - Ali

Namluya dayanir yola dalarsin
Durusun bakisin yaman be Ali
Bosuna tetigi ne kurcalarsin
Var daha atese zaman be Ali

Yillanmis bir çinar pusuluk yerin
Neredeyse gelecek beklediklerin
Var iki atimlik cani kederin
Desene isleri duman be Ali

O´nu sen büyüt de sögüt boyunca
Kendini ellere versin o gonca
Sözüne kanmadin bunu duyunca
Gönlündü gözünü yuman be Ali

Geldiler beklenen çiftler ormana
Duruyor iki genç ne hos yanyana
Bir kursun kadina bir de çobana
Çinlasin yillarca orman be Ali

Görünce uzanmis yar kucagina
Boynunu dolamis zülfü bagina
Kursunu kahpeye atacagina
Kendine çevirdin aman be Ali

==========================
Ali

You lean on the barrel and stare at the path
The way you look, the way you pose are so manly Ali
Why do you fiddle with the trigger
There is still time to fire, Ali

Your place for ambush is an old oak tree
People you are waiting about to arrive nearly
Only 2 bullets and your sorrow will be gone
Their fate is already sealed, is it not, Ali?

You made her grow like a willow tree..
And that rosebud gives herself to others
Nothing changed your mind since you had heard it
It was your heart closing your eyes, Ali

The couple has arrived to the forest
Two youngsters, next to each other, pretty
One bulet for the woman another one for the shepherd
Let the echo go on in the forest for years, Ali

When you saw her laying with her lover
Her lovelocks wrapped around her neck
Instead of firing the bullet at the whore
You Turned your barrel to yourself, Ali!!

A very old song from Nukhet Duru
