 mez is used for negative meaning i am afraid..

translation: I would not marry with you anyway

i didnt understand the meaning of it!

u said mez means afraid? how come?does it means i couldnt marry you or i didnt want to marry you? it makes difference right?

 it means what he said it did =  would not marry with you anyway

Mez does not mean afraid he didn´t say that  he said  he is afraid it is a negative ..it is a suffix

Just a note on the English. We don´t say ´marry with you´ we just say ´marry you´

Just to clarify what Gülümseme said; when we say ´I am afraid´ in this sense in English it doesn´t mean ´I am scared´ but ´I am sorry (to say/to have to tell you)´.  Example:  ´I´m afraid I have some bad news for you´ or ´I am afraid there are no more seats left´
