Hey everyone,
I heard someone use this proverb today, but I don´t really understand what it means. Would be awesome if someone could give me the English equivalent or at least explain what it is.=) The proverb is,
El terazi göz kantar.

I found this in the dictionary but I have no idea what it means
el terazi, göz mizan. proverb Sometimes one only needs to guess at sizes. huh?
(I think mizan and kantar mean the same thing)

yes the original one is "el terazi, göz mizan" but obviously some people modernized it 
It is just same as "göz kararı". As your mother tells you how much water to add to the meal you are cooking

Well this caught my eye and I learnt that it actually is :
"el terazi, göz mizan, essek bes yüz, sipa iki yüz elli gram" 
And it is used to emphasize how obvious the situation (or subject) is.
It is so obvious that you do not need to investigate further..
