....and when they have all the things they want ,they ll probably ll be so old to use them or wont be able to use,cos we r forgetting death...

I always wonder about this too. I think money is becoming more and more important to people. Whole lives are spent in its pursuit. It seems some people judge the quality of their lives with material things, but the more material thinks you gain, the less satisfied by them you become and so the constant search for material gratification continues. We should STOP, look at what we have that is NOT material - friends, family, love, a beautiful world, and be happy with it !

A favourite quote of mine is "nobody ever lay on their death bed wishing they had spent more time at the office"...

Well I'm just trying to make as much as money as possible not to have to spend time at the office

But indeed, you are right. I bought way less things since that thread about blonde-haired-lynda and animal-tested products. It doesn't mean I never buy thigns anymore and doesn't mean I never buy things i like but only things that are useful.. I just changed the goal of my money.

And you should be sure I'm so happy with the friends I have

(and with my lover and family too, but you are not in these categories )

Hahaha! lol! No, I didn't mean literally DK and certainly wasn't talking about YOU - just people in general. My neighbours are a good example, they are never home, always at work they have fantastic cars, a new swimming pool, exotic holidays..the list goes on, but they are NEVER happy! When they ARE home, they argue constantly! I think YOUR pursuit of money is a very different thing and is not for material things, but to follow your dream

(hopefully I am in your friends catagory though.... )

I know Just making it sure and showing another way in which being a little bit materialistic is only to follow your dream

Yeah that sounds like the stereotypical meaning of Desperate Housewives. Towards each other they act like nothing happened and that they have the perfect lives, but rich model Gaby was almost broke, Lynette's husband has cheated on her, Susan's ex-husband might be marrying her biggest enemy, Bree was alcoholic and now is nearly having a mental breakdown and the list goes on! But they still smile perfectly to each other and bring perfectly shaped muffins when they come over to visit!

Oh and I tried to say you were in the friends catagory yes ({) Please don't put an 'unsure' smiley after such a question
