Turkish Drama 1001 Nights Score

The series launched successfully in Chile on Mega and in Colombia through Caracol and followed that up with a premiere in Argentina on El Trece on January 5. The Turkish drama is set to premiere later this year in Brazil (Bandeirantes), Peru (Frecuencia Latina), Uruguay (Saeta), Bolivia (Unitel) and the U.S. Hispanic market (MundoFOX).

Izzet Pinto, the CEO of Global Agency, said: “After six years trying to enter the region, we are now very successful in Latin America, where our hit drama series 1001 Nights is engaging audiences across the continent. It first started to air on Mega Chile for four days a week in a prime-time slot from Sunday through Wednesday. It became an immediate leader in the prime-time ratings and became the most successful foreign series in the history of the country. This opened other markets in Latin America and now, we are very happy to announce that 1001 Nights has moved into Argentina, Brazil and Peru after Chile, Uruguay, Colombia and U.S. Hispanic.

I saw a news today that Armenian community in Latin America are angry with this drama and they are campaigning to stop the airing.

I never watched 1001 gece.  I just wonder if there are any anti-armenian content in that series ? Why are they against this ? Any specific reason apart from its being Turkish tv series ?

Not at all! I could watch the last 10 or 15 episodes and I can say that it´s very catchy drama.
