Hello All,
I was wondering if someone could help me to understand how difficult if at all...it would be to communicate internationally if you are living in Turkey and you:
1. Are in and out of a job
2. Do not have the internet at home
3. Use your phone by purchasing minutes at a time and have run out on minutes occasionally
4. Share a flat with a sibling
I hope this is not too general of a question? Any insight on circumstances like this in Turkey would be helpful.
This actually sounds a bit typical for many Turkish citizens. Many jobs are seasonal and being "in and out" of a job is not a strange thing in Turkey. Internet can be very expensive so many people go to the cafe to use the internet. Many people use the "credit system" in Turkey for phone use and this is not unusual at all. I had actually never heard of it until I went to Turkey. I don´t think having a roommate (whether it is a sibling or not) is unusual anywhere. The degree of difficulty in communicating internationally will depend on: 1. Language barrier 2. Time differences 3. The commitment of both parties to continue to communicate
