I am not happy being married to him anymore and really need you to speak to him

He is not a good husband.  He is very selfish.  He doesn´t help at all with our baby too.  This is my last try at saving our marriage because I don´t think I can live with him anymore. 

I wish I could speak to you myself but I had to get this message translated.

Please don´t say anything to him now.  All I ask is for you or Dad to speak to him when he comes in November.

 konuşurdum = I would talk

konuşur muydun? = Would you talk?

konuşabilirdim = I could talk

konuşabilir miydin? = Could you talk?

well it should be literally translated as   "would you talk" 

but actually if  I made the very same sentence in English I would also use "could you" because she is kindly asking for something to be done...

IZMIR060406 I understand the way you are feeling I went through a smiliar thing 4 years ago. Please let me warn you, talking to his parents about him may backfire. I did exactly the same I wrote a message to them what was almost the same as yours stating our marriage was in a mess and how he didnt help with our baby and so on.In turkish culture its usually left to the woman to do everything with their babies so complaining to his mother about it is not a wise thing to do as she will probally just think you are winging for nothing. I know thats not the case but most of these older Turkish women do not know what life is like in European countries. When my husband at the time went to Turkey his father basically made him choose them or me. His father said I was wrong for talking about my husband and a wife should be supportive of her husband nomatter what blah blah blah. It was the worst thing getting them involved. I thought they liked me and loved their grandaughter and would want to help us, but it seems they didnt at all. My husband obviously chose them and it all ended very horribly in a divorce. I dont want to alarm you but please just be caereful when getting inlwas involved, in their eyes sons can do no wrong especially when they rely on them to send them money.
