I am having problems translating intı English the following section from the beautiful song Hoş geldin gönül bahçeme -

Geceler boyu beklediğim
Yağmurla gelen
........................


Bir yıldızdı istediğim
Karanlık geceme
Sazlım,sözlüm binlerce güneş verdin

.......................

Any help wıll be much appreciated.

 I know I know it dosen`t make any sense but I tried

There is no better way to learn vocabulary than songsi lyrics.
