another example of what arranged marriages can lead to...sooner or later there will always be some Anne Boleyn worth changing the state´s religion lol

Well history does show that Henry and Catherine of Aragon had a happy and successful marriage which lasted 24 years until his "mid life crisis" and desire for a son led him to another, short lived, 5 marriages!!   Even with his first wife though he got into trouble with the church because she had been married (as a child!) to Henry´s older brother who died from TB.  The Pope had to give special permission for Henry to marry his brothers "wife" and only allowed it because they had never had sex.

Henry never wanted to divorce Catherine and it was only that scheming minx Anne Boleyn who persuaded him to do it, by refusing to have sex with him unless she became Queen.

Who needs soap operas when you have real history!

Definitely!  The Tudors are my favourite history topic and I love reading books about it - I also never realised just how old Anne Boleyn was when she married Henry - 32!!  She is always portrayed in films as young, beautiful and innocent, but she was far from it (and not particularly beautiful either) and had six fingers on one hand  However, she had a lot of flirty charm that she learned during her time the French court
