Sustuğunu bilen olgundur, bildiğini susan değil

a hard one, let me try

The one who knows what he/she keeps silent on is mature, not the one who keeps silent on what he/she knows

hey, is anyone able to translate this for me please:

Bir kadının yüzü güldüğünde, bir adamın cüzdanı ağlıyordur.

When a woman´s face smiles, (it means that) a man´s wallet cries.

and

Sustuğunu bilen olgundur, bildiğini susan değil

Mature is the one who knows (about) what s/he is quiet about,

not the one who is quiet about what s/he knows.

I deeply love the the phrase "quiet about".. We always "talk about" things but ignore the moments we are quiet about something... being quiet here, I meant, is not to talk at all.

a question: What are being quiet about nowadays?

cheers
