It is really confusing as the speaker omitted some necessary parts of the sentence. I will try to explain it if I can that you can rewrite the sentence in proper English.

(with what he has done to me) today he desreved more (of me insulting him) , but because I have pity on him (my insult for him) has been light (I didn´t go too far)
