My attempt as learner. My translation doesn´t make much sense to me but that´s the best I could do. Hopefully someone else can help to make it better.

Two hints:

1)Sometimes -de, -da means "but". Ex:

Ben geliyorum da o gelmiyor.

I come but she doesn´t come.

2) sometimes ya means right as a question. Ex:

Bazen konuşamazsın ya normaldir.

Sometimes you can´t talk right? It is normal

I have also found on tureng.com that "hani olur ya" can mean "(just) in case". Could it mean here: "I miss some people, just in case" ?

Here "hani olur ya" means something like " sometimes". "So it happens right" is also more proper than "just in case" But use sometimes here.

But here in this sentence just in case is more proper.

Hani olur ya gelmezse beni ara.

Just in case if he doesn´t come call me.

You should decide the correct expression looking at the context of the sentence.

I just thought that if "hani olur ya" can mean "sometimes", then maybe it is: "hani olur ya için bir tuhaftır" ? (previously I thought that the first sentence ends right after "ya"). If so, could the original text be translated like this:

I know it may look strange from the perspective of native speaker to ask so many times about few words in one sentence but some idioms, like all with word "hani", and this word by itself too, are quite difficult to understand for me - probably because it is hard for me to find a counterpart of it in my language(*). Also, lack of punctuation does not make it easier for me to divide whole text into logical parts.

(*) - or maybe because there is no direct counterpart of it and I should "just" learn it the way it is

Let me explain more. "Hani olur ya" is some kind of an idiom that people prefer when they want to speak poetically. It means something like "sometimes it happens right?"  Ex:

Hani olur ya birden gülümser insan.

You can translate this sentence differently:

1) Sometimes it happens right? All of a sudden people smile.

2)Sometimes all of a sudden people smile right?

But generally if you use if (-se, -sa) after "hani olur ya" you can translate it as just in case. Ex:

1) Hani olur ya gelmezse, kafana takma.

Just in case if he doesn´t come, dont mind.

2) Hani olur ya gelirse beni ara.

Just in case if he comes call me.
