Han Şeng:Lütfen bana alındıyı verebildin Garson:Kişi veya şirket için? Han Şeng:Kişi. Garson:Buyurun başkalığım da alındım. Han Şeng:Teşekküler,iyi günler. Hansheng: Waitress, the bill please.
Waiter: Credit card or cash?
H: Cash.
W: Yes,Sir. A total of $126. You gave me $200. Thank you.
H: A receipt, please.
W: A personal receipt or a company receipt?
H: A personal receipt.
W: Here´s your change and the receipt.
H: Thanks. Goodbye!
W: Take care. You´re always welcome.

is it more normal to use ´fatura´ rather than ´makbuz´ for a receipt for payment or can either be used?

is it more normal to use ´fatura´ rather than ´makbuz´ for a receipt for payment or can either be used?
İ know in markets or restaurants they call it " fiş". " İ heard "fatura" when you go to buy a laptop or something... but also they give you a "fiş" together with "fatura".

Thank you very much. I should have added that the Enlgish translation is somewhat free. In Chinese there is just one word for waiter as well as waitress, the English translator just assumed it must be waitress, it seemed in Turkish "garson" can refer to both genders, if accuracy is desired waitress can be referred to as "kadın garson", also regarding Credit card payment, the English translation deviated from an accurate translation of the Chinese, in Chinese the waiter (waitress) says "swipe card" ." başkalığım da alındım" of course was an obvious mistake, why should the waiter say "my difference and my receipt"?

Actually, I should have said "fiş" instead of "fatura". I don´t know the exact difference, but in restaurants it is usually "fiş", "fatura" is the bigger one for bigger amounts. Fiş is the one that comes from the cash box. Makbuz is different from these, makbuz is given to you as a proof that someone received a service or a money from you. forexample he says that i received this amount of money from this person for x service, and everyone signs it. i am not very good to differentiate these kind of things, someone correct me if i am wrong.

"garson" comes from the French "garçon" that means "boy" .. İ think you will have to try very hard to find in Turkey a "kadın garson". İ have never seen

Fatura, fis, and makbuz are all types of receipts.
Fatura and some kinds of makbuz can be deducted from income for tax purposes.
