One of my favorite foods in the whole world is karides guvec. I googled a recipe and it did not come out well at all.

Does anyone have a GREAT karides guvec recipe? Extra bonus points if it tastes like it came from the seaside restaurant in Izmir (the one that I can´t remember the name of).

Thanks!!

In case you don´t get any other responses, I have included this link. Hopefully this is a different recipe to what you previously tried from the net. Smile

I have not tried this karides güveç myself, but other recipes from this site have worked well for me. Click on the words below for the shrimp/prawn recipe.

That´s great, it looks a lot better than the other recipe that I tried. One thing I noticed though is that every time I had karides guvec in Turkey they left the garlic cloves whole, but all of the recipes that I´ve read asks for them to be chopped.

Thanks for the link and I will definitely be using that recipe because I hate waiting a whole year before I can eat karides guvec again.
