Merhabalar!

I was just wondering if you are able to use the words aksan and vurgu interchangably.

For example:

Rus aksan and Rus vurgu both mean the same thing (Russian accent).

Also, using this term, is this sentence correct?

Neden daima Türkçe Rus vurgulu konuşurum? / Why do I always speak Turkish with a Russian accent?

Yardımı için çok teşekkürler!

No.

"Vurgu" means:

  • emphasis, or
  • stress, or
  • "a diacritical mark used to indicate stress or placed above a vowel to indicate a special pronunciation", or
  • point etc.

"Aksan" means:

  • accent (=distinctive manner of oral expression), or
  • "şive"=dialect.

Your sentence doesn´t sound OK. It would be better if you say it this way for example:

Neden Türkçeyi daima (hep) Rus aksanıyla (=in a distinctive manner as if a Russian speaks Turkish) konuşuyorum (konuşurum)?
