Quoting Sooree

gün soğuk geceden...

bi söz düşsün heceden...

ve GEL duysam...

o zaman...

korkmam bana gelen ecelden...

the day colder than the night..

 bir söz düşsün heceden..

let a word drops from the syllable.

 ve GEL duysam..

 and if I hear COME...

 o zaman..

 and then..

 korkmam bana gelen ecelden..

I wouldn´t fear from the day I die coming to me.

Note : "Ecel" means the time at which a person is fated to die

Sooree fırst ı want to say that in this poem, even its turkish words are not very clear.for example ve GEL duysam..

and if I hear COME  or other words are not giving clear idea about what is going on in  poem. it s written with concern of word ryhtym rather than meaning.

Oh .. Ok thanks anyway

However, for the last sentence, I´ve re-read it several times and my interreption of it now is: the lover is scared to die before his/her love comes to him/her?

Or have I misunderstood it?

No. The lover is not scared..He says "korkmam" kork (root of verb) +ma(suffix that makes negatif) + m ( suffix for person(I)

so korkmam =i dont fear..i wouldnt fear

and ecel is the phrase i explained earlier. the lover is not afraid from the day he dies.

Alternatively you could say "I am not afraid of the coming eternity"
