So I know that nazar boncuğu, stands for the evil eye amulet. But, I have someone who calls me boncuk and said that the word can mean ´evil eye´ but is mostly used for beautiful people or people in general with blue eyes (like how the evil eye is always a blue eye).

But, I´m confused at why the spelling is different and if the two words are pronounced the same way. Are both spellings correct? Do they both mean the same thing but are just used differently in society? Help please!
