I said "I am finding it hard to be strict with myself" and R.. said "If you want I can help you with that"

This was funny in English but I didn´t know how to translate it and I should not have to explain myself to you. I do not want to live my life with you if you do not trust me.

Please ......ALL help will be appreciated. Normally I can communicate quite well but tonight???????????? Tempers are flaring!!
