Actually, it is both. How?

Online teacher may not be able to help you all the time. You study your books and practice. And online teachers usually help you explain things that you do not understand. There may be online teachers who can teach you all the time, whenever you want, but they are not usually teaching for free. It is up to you.

My suggestion is that, do not stop studying from books. And if you find an online teacher, at least someone who can explain things that you do not understand, ask him/her as much as possible to learn more.
