kimse var biliyor muzunus? I think its do you know someone or anyone???

 that sentence should be :

Kimse var mı biliyor musunuz ?

do you know is there anyone ?

does it simply tranlste to ´do you know anyone?´  I don´t think my Turkish friend understood my comment on her film.  I meant to write do you know anyone?

If you mean " do you know anyone " then that would be :

" Kimseyi tanıyor musun ?"

" Kimseyi biliyor musun ?"

she uploaded a film of her home town.  I wanted to know if she knew anyone in the film. She took my comment off.  I thought it must have been bad Turkish.

if you asked her whether she knew anyone in the film,then you could write the full sentence like this :

Filmdeki kişilerden herhangi birini tanıyor musun ? = Do you know anyone in the film.

The reason she took your comment off might be something else as this question should not offensive anyone.

Thanks. Maybe she just wanted her home town friends to comment.  She later uploaded the film again leaving the one I commented on up.  Today she took my comment off the first film.
