Hi

I am going to Turkey to meet my friend´s family soon and I am wondering what kind of gift I should get them - I am really confused so any suggestions would be great!

Where are you from? Often something specific from your home country makes a nice gift.

Something to eat is always welcome. Just be careful it doesn´t have pork or alchohol products in it.

It would be best to find something about the family so as to know what they would like. I wouldn´t stress too much about it though, Turkish people appreciate the effort and are very gracious when receiving a gift.

The nice thing about food is it doesn´t have to be dusted or polished. Most homes don´t have a lot of knick knacks.
