Dil uzmanlar tarafından yapılan bilimsel dil toplantılarında, çeviri kitapları kalitesinin, çeviri dili açısından eskiye gore, çok düşük düzeylerde kaldığı belirtiliyor.

İnsanlar bugün okudukları çeviri kitaplarını, çeviri dil açısından yeterli  kalitede görmüyorlar.

Bu toplantılarda, ülkelerdeki gerçek tercüman (çevirmen) sayısının parmakla gösterilecek kadar azaldığı vurgulanıyor.

Bu nedenle, dünya ülkelerinde “Yeni Bir Çeviri Hareketi”ne büyük ihtiyaç duyulduğu bilimsel toplantı ve panel sonuç bildirgelerinde dünya kamuoyuna açıklanıyor.

Does not this sentence mean rather something like "People, nowadays, do not regard translated books as good enough in terms of translation quality" ?

In these meetings, it is emphasized that the number of real interpretor (translator) has decreased as it can be shown by pointing the finger.

I think it can be translated like: "...it is emphasized that the number of real translators has decreased to the level that they can be counted on fingers" (I´m not sure if it can be said like this in English).
