but i wondered if there was a male equivalent of the word yenge.

Ama "yenge"ye eşdeğer, erkek için bir kelime var mı diye merak ettim.

 Yes there is a word that is a male equivalent of the word yenge which is " Enişte "

but it depends on person whom you want to call Enişte. If that person is the husband of someone relation of you or someone you know  then its ok to use it.  

For example : I call my sister"s husband as Enişte.

                   There is a woman that is very good friend of mine , and I call her husband as "Enişte"
