Hi

I´ve been looking at this tense recently.

As I understand it "r" is added to the verb root. If the verb ends in a consonant then "ar" or "er" is added (according to vowel harmony)and then the personal ending is added.

This is fairly regular but there are exceptions, which you just have to learn.

I listen  = dinle r im

I rest = dinlen er im

In the case of çalışmak = to work. I´m not sure if this is a regular verb or not. Please can someone let me know

I work = çalişarim ( if regular ) but I heard someone say "çalişirim" (maybe its my ears!)

Thanks

I think its because calişmak is a multiply syllable verb and these take ir ır  ur ür
