Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad reproached a Turkish journalist who asked the question in English at a press conference in Tehran.
When the reporter of a Turkish TV channel asked Ahmadinejad a question in English, he replied: “Speak in Turkish, I and those present will understand you. You have come from Turkey and you are speaking English.” Ahmadinejad responded to the question and expressed “thanks” in Turkish, Ensonhaber website reports.
Last year, the Iran’s President had to speak Turkish at a press conference in Istanbul due to some problems with a translator.

I totaly agree with Iranian president. Many Iranians know Azeri Turkish. Even former Iranian Shah Rıza Pehlevi spoke in Turkish with Ataturk when He visited Turkey many years ago. But unfortunately today many people has inclination of speaking in English unnecessarily.
