For those who are fluent in Turkish, I would like an accurate translation to English of the following beautiful phrase attributed to Fatih Sultan Mehmet:

“Bu şehre getirdiğim her güzellik, vasiyet ettiğim her güzel kaide Kur´an´a ve Efendimize (s.a.v.) bağlılığımdan doğmuştur. Bunları kim değiştirirse, Allah´ın, Resulünün ve meleklerin lâneti onun üzerine olsun."

Every beauty that I bring to this city, every regulation that I request came from my devotion to the Quran and Our Master (PBUH). Whoever changes these, may the curse of Allah, his Prophet and angels be upon him/her.

"Our Master" refers to the prophet Mohammed(Peace Be Upon Him)

The definition of "s.a.v. (sallallahu aleyhi vesellem)" is actually "May Allah honour him and grant him peace" but in short, it is as I have written.

Also, what does he mean by "every regulation I request"? 

Does it mean he is saying every instruction of mine I try to base on Qur´an and hadith?

Literally "was born from my being tied to", but Faruk found a very nice way to express it

The phrase "came from my devotion" is the part "bağlılığımdan doğmuştur" (was born from my devotion).

We may change "every regulation I request", and make it "every good regulation I bequeath." He is saying that he did every rule or regulation are based on Quran and hadith and he inherits them to the people. But he is saying "vasiyet ediyorum". He is inheriting them and also request people to keep them and apply them.

You look up for some words in a dictionary to make a better translation. However, you may write a word that is not suitable in that sentence. And here we are...

 "Every regulation that I request" might better be expressed "every beautiful rule that I leave after my death" or "every beautiful law that I bequeath"

As you probably know, this beautiful quote (guzel ederim) is the famous statement of Fatih Sultan Mehmet upon achieving what seemed to be impossible, the conquest of constantinople, the beloved Istanbul of today.

Is this quote known amongst Turks? It must have been taught to children in history class

As scalpel said, and if you search it on Google, you see only one text for that translated phrase and it is about one of the scholars in Islam History. It is not related to Mehmet II.

And being fairy tale depends on people what they believe in.
