This is from a one of the lessons at this site. (I am writing the original provided sentences in red, exactly as they appear in the lesson.) But I can´t find the lesson this was from

İnstructions; Form negative present continuous version from the provided verb.

Ben gelecek hafta Istanbul´a....(gitmek)

1. Ben bu hafta İstanbul´a gelmiyorum

Arabayı annem...(sürmek)

2. Annem arabayı sürmüyor.

Bugün çok soğuk, biz dişarı...(çıkmak)

3. Bugün çok soğuk biz dişarı çıkmıyoruz

Ben...(evlenmek)

4. Ben evlenmiyorum.

O beni...(dinlemek)

5. O beni dinlemiyor.

Onlar futbol...(oynamak) çünkü...(sevmek)

6. Onlar futbol oynamıyorlar çünkü sevmiyorlar.

Bugün ben televizyon...(izlemek) çünkü çok meşgulum.

7. Bugün ben televizyon izlemiyorum, çünkü çok meşgulum.

Bu çok komik, neden siz...(gülmek)

Ok I see my mistake in the first sentence. However Is that one correctly written? I was confused because the original sentence seems to be in a wrong order and used "gelecek". Shouldn´t it be "Ben bu hafta Istanbul´a gidiyorum" ? Which makes its negative form "ben bu hafta Istanbul´a gitmiyorum"

If not, why can you have the verb phrase before an expression of time? 

Ben gelecek hafta İstanbul´a gitmiyorum. It means I will not go to İstanbul next week.

We can use simple continous tense in this sentence because "gelecek hafta (next week)" has already given sentence future tense meaning.

Again a situation where I thought a word (gelecek) was being used one way, but turns out to be another. However this time, with it being before hafta, it makes sense. I realize that now.
