Find it hard to answer questions 7 and 8 because ı am not sure of the context which the sentences are used. Also, those questions don´t seem to be covered in the paragraph which is provided. (written exactly as they appear in the lesson)

Sizce Ali nasıl bir insan?

Sizce Ali´nin otomobilinde neden benzin yok?

Unless they are supposed to be opinion questions?

Sizce Ali nasıl bir insan(dır)?

What kind of a person is Ali in your opinion?

Sizce Ali´nin otomobilinde neden benzin yok?

Why is there no gas in Ali´s car in your opinion?

Unless they are supposed to be opinion questions?

Thank you Gokuyum.The lesson sentence appears to be slightly wrong then? I would not have known to apply -dır after insan. The exercise should have had that already there. Also I had only known nasıl as meaning "how". and didn´t know that it could be used to say "what kind". There still seems to be so many little things about Turkish I am missing out on.

The sentence is not wrong. We usually don´t use "dır". But we know there is a hidden "dır(dir,dur,dür)" at the end of verbs.With these suffixes you can make a noun a verb. "Nasıl" can also mean "what kind of" in Turkish. Exact equivalent of "what kind of" in Turkish is "ne tür" by the way. But we use it for animals and things.

Maybe a true native Turkish speaker would have known about hidden suffixes all his/her lifeWink {#emotions_dlg.angel}But someone who is still learning? At some point I should really try and find a way to attend classes for Turkish. Maybe I would start to learn about things like this and remember them{#emotions_dlg.bigsmile}
