Hi guys,

I´m from Brazil, and really trying to learn some Turkish.

I´m looking for nicknames used between sweethearts.

Some are used only for girls and I never know when it´d be O.K. to address to a man using one of those:

Canım (My soul)

Tatlım (My sweet)

Hayatım (My life)

Sevgilim (My sweet)

Bir Tanem (My one [thing])

Heyşeyim (My everything)

Aşkım (My love)

So lütfen?? Help me to understand, and if you know >>any others<< caring nicknames I don´t know yet, I´d be very happy

Teşekkürler ♥

There is "balım" some people use recently, means "my honey" comes directly from English "honey". I don´t like that

There are şekerim (my sugar, my candy) and güzelim (my beautiful) but these can also be used for any friend.

And here are some others which are used by men to women:

Gülüm (my rose)

Çiçeğim (my flower)

İnci tanem (my pearl drop)

Hayatımın anlamı (the meaning of my life)

Bebeğim (my baby)

Deniz gözlüm (my sea-eyed one) (to someone who has blue eyes)

Kara gözlüm - kömür gözlüm (my black eyed one - my coal eyed one) (to someone who has black eyes)

Vazgeçilmezim (my essential, my indispensable)

Kurabiyem (my cookie)

Not all of these are common but can be used
