Translation - Meaning...

Hello some help needed please,  the following sentence is in a song:   Ve üç nokta düşürdün

I know the exact translation to be - you have dropped 3 points.

 

But what is the meaning ?

 well my thoughts are related to marks out of ten maybe the person means that he or she has  reduced to 7 ,in other words gone down in his her estimation

 

my thought anyway

My translation is ´you would drop three points´.

Often the aorist+past tense suffix combination is used to mean ´would´.

But here is another attempt to translate the song I think that the line comes from.

After reading the translator´s German version, she says "you would throw it all away" in German.

In football competitions, teams get 3 points for a win, for competition tables.

To drop 3 points means you did not win, or ´you lost´.

So I guess the songwriter wanted to imply that ´you left after an endless night and you would lose´
