The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed concern about the recent unrest in China’s Xinjiang region in a written statement on Sunday.

Two of the regions historic regions with prominent Islamic culture, Kashghar and Hotan, in the south of China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, recently set the scene for yet another batch of violence between Muslim Uyghurs and Han Chinese. Around 20 Uyghurs were killed in separate incidents in the cities.

“The violent incidents in Hotan and Kashgar resulting in death and injuries have caused concern” read the statement from the ministry.

“We give importance to the security, stability and peace of the people living in the region that we have historic and cultural ties to, that also forms a bridge of friendship between us and the People´s Republic of China,” the statement said.

“We understand that the People´s Republic of China is conducting the necessary investigations. We hope that those responsible are brought to justice immediately, and that peace is brought to the region without tensions rising any further,” the ministry said.

Let´s accept it. There is no chance for them to live in their home country. Chinese will actually kick them out or kill otherwise. Turkey should accept them if they are forced to leave.
