In this context, what is oralara? Also at "bi türlü eremedim", which part is this? I could not find that word in my dictionary.

ora + y [buffering letter ] + a [to] ----> to there

ora + lar [plural] + a [to] ----> to there [ in turkish we can use plural form of " there "

oralarda hayat nasıl ----> how´s the weather over there ?

just "orada" means "there"

ermek ----> 1. /a/ to attain, achieve.
2.
/a/ to reach, be long enough to reach.
3.
to ripen, become ripe, mature.
4.
to attain sainthood; to be spiritually enlightened, reach spiritual perfection.

so as you see "ermek" has several meanings. in the context above it is " to reach "

er [ the stem of the verb] + e [can,could] + me [suffix that makes negatife] + di [past tense] + m [ person "I"]

eremedim --------> I COULD NOT REACH

Very good explanation as always tunci, thanks! I do find words easier to learn when the suffixes are broken down as you´ve done.
