Can anyone tell me how to say i miss someone very much in Turkish please. I don´t want to say i miss you, i just want to say i miss someone very much.

What is the difference between that and Birisi cok ozledim.  Sorry i am very new to learning Turkish.

We have to use "ı,i,o,u" with the verb " to miss " [özlemek] its accusative case.

birisi ---> someone

Birisi + n [ buffering letter] + i [accusative case]  çok [alot] özle [stem of the verb] + di [past tense] + m [person " I"]

note : we also can use present continues tense for "to miss " which is  "özlüyorum "

özle  [stem of the verb [ "e" drops ]   ]  + üyor [present continues tense] + um [person for present continues tense [I] ]

Since the word "birisi" ends with vowel "i" it follows "i" according to vowel harmony.

other examples ;

Onu özledim ---> I miss him/her/it or I missed her/him/it.

O [he,she,it] + n [ buffering letter] + u [accusative case] [ since the last vowel ends with vowel "o " it has continue with "u"

Seni özledim ---> I miss you

Sen [you] + i [accusative case] özledim. [note : because the word [sen] doesnt end with wowel there is no buffering letter]

Ayşe ´yi özledim ---> I miss Ayşe

Ayşe [femaile name] + y [buffering letter] + i [accusative case]

Birini- ´ni´ represents that ´biri´ is the Direct object of the verb, here ´n´ after ´biri´ works as           buffer as Two Vowels don´t come together in Turkish except the exceptions.

Özlüyorum/Özlerim-   Present Tense (You are doing/you do)

Özledim              -   Past Tense     (you did)
