Fuar, özellikle ev sahibi Alman ´üreticilerin´ gövde gösterisine dönüştü.

Could someone explain which is the modified word by "üreticilerin" in the above sentence..

Thanks

Thanks

In my opinion it can only be gösterisine

The ´si´ part normally indicates the ´possessed´ word.

üreticilerin gövde gösterisi

Manufacturers´ show of strength, or manufacturers´ public demonstration are my guesses at the meaning

Thanks Henry...

Gövde gösterisi- public demonstration

Does it still goes with what you say... in regard with my question..as ´si´ is already there...

Yes, from what I have learnt, you can chain possession, and the final ´possessed´ word only needs the i/si suffix.

What a nice discussion you had here while I was absent. I suggest we make this a long thread where learners can bring interesting/difficult sentences for all of us to think of.

Actually there are a lot of nice discussions here in this site that took place over years. But sometimes it takes some effort to go and find them. Search function helps to find them when necessary, which I use occasionally.

Sure. But no old discussion can offer the excitement of a new problem which you know others are trying to solve at the same time. You see, it´s a competition.
