çok teşekkürler doğum günümü "hatırlaman" beni çok mutlu etti

Could someone explain what kind of construction is this "hatırlaman". I do understand it means "your remembering" but I want to know where and what could be the most appropriate situation to use it..please explain with examples.

-hatırla(mak) is the verb.

-ma is a suffix that makes verbs nouns (verbal nouns)

-n is second person singular possesive suffix

Gelmene çok sevindim. If we try to translate this sentences literally with bad English. It means "I was very happy to your coming"

With better English we can translate it as "I was very happy because you came".

1) Beni hatırlaman çok güzel.

Here it is the subject of the sentence with "beni". Because it is a verbal noun it can also have an object. And the object of it is "beni". You can´t seperate them. They are together the subject.

2)Beni hatırlamanı istiyorum.

Here it is  the object with beni. Beni is still object of "hatırlamanı". But they are together the object of "istiyorum". The object is definitive because it is in accusative case because of "ı" at the end.

3)Hatırlamana sevindim. Now it is indirect object of "sevindim" because of "a" at the end. A makes it dative and indirect.

4)Beni hatırlaman için ne yapmalıyım? Now it is part of an adverb group.

It is a noun at the end Hindistan. It has the same conditions with another noun.

Doğum günümü is a noun phrase. It is also definite object of "hatırlaman".

Doğum günümü hatırlaman is the subject of the sentence. You can´t seperate "hatırlaman" from its object.

Beni is the definite object of the verb "mutlu etmek".

Çok is adverb.

Mutlu etti is predicate.
