Quite an important word in Turkish ha? Although there is no English for it, I would like to see everyone's interpretation of it.

Thanks

There's not a word "nefs" but "nefis"

It's arabic origininated obviously, and means 1) personality, self 2)all of the needs of eating and drinking of a person

But when it takes suffixes, the i drops and becomes nefs...

Benim nefsim
Senin nefsin
